| Description: | The Biosolids for the Edmonton Region are produced from the City of Edmonton’s Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant (GBWWTP) and the Alberts Capital Region Wastewater Treatment Plant (ACRWC). The Biosolids are anaerobically digested sludge from the wastewater treatment processes at GBWWTP and ACRWC. The Biosolids are gravity thickened at the Clover Bar lagoons, prior to it being transported for agricultural land application. The average total solids content for 2018 was 6.5 percent. Historically biosolids application has been within 50 to 80km radius surrounding Edmonton |
