| Description: |
The intent of this NRFP is to find a Successful Proponent capable of providing the Work described immediately below. A more detailed description of the Work can be found in Appendix 1 (Information). The Alberta Electric System Operator (“AESO”) and EPCOR Distribution and Transmission Inc. (“EDTI”) are assessing solutions to address forecast distribution deficiency in the Chappelle area of South-West Edmonton. Forecast load growth in the area, presently serviced by EDTI’s distribution system downstream of the Summerside and Riverview substations, is forecast to exceed available capacities over the next 5 years. The successful Proponent (the Consultant) will be required to assess, evaluate and compare the viability, constructability, costs, environment and land use effects, and risks associated with each of the alternatives under consideration. The Consultant is required to produce a report detailing their findings for all the Alternatives, including comparative metrics, which will be used as an input to the AESO’s determination of the preferred alternative for the project. The successful Proponent may be granted the first right of refusal to provide additional services related to conceptual routing and siting projects during the term of the Agreement. The Owner may, at its sole discretion, enter negotiations with the successful Proponent to define the scope, schedule and pricing for the required services. The Owner reserves the right to seek the services from other qualified parties at their sole discretion.
