While this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is issued by EPCOR, all services, equipment, prices, terms and conditions, presentations and promotional materials contained in any submission (the “Reply”, as defined below) may, at EPCOR’s sole discretion, apply to any or all of the EPCOR Entities (as defined below).

The intent of this RFP is to find a Successful Proponent capable of providing the Work described immediately below. A more detailed description of the Work can be found in Appendix 1 (Information).

 

This RFP solicits proposal from qualified vendors for the comprehensive supply and installation of office furniture for the new Integrated Operations Center (IOC) which is being completed at the Aurum Road site, located at 2545 Aurum Road, Edmonton, Alberta (the “Project”).  The Project encompasses the complete furnishing of a modern, functional operations center designed to support 24/7 monitoring and coordination activities. The Project is currently in design and is anticipated to be completed in Q3 2026. 

The furniture layouts are as per the Level 3 Furniture Plan (created by GEC) dated July 4th 2025 and quantities of equipment required as part of this RFP is as per the Furniture List dated July 4th, 2025 both found in Schedule “D”. 

The furniture list, images and layouts are provided in Schedule “D” attachments as a “basis-of-design” which the Proponents are to follow in preparing their response to this RFP.. Proposal must clearly demonstrate adherence to the established “basis-of-design” layout provide in the RFP documentation.  While alternatives may be considered where they enhance functionality or value, proposals should maintain the core operational workflow, sightlines and technical integration aspects of the original furniture list.

 

The selected vendor must demonstrate capability to:

 

  • Interpret and execute the basis-of-design intent while identifying opportunities for enhancement

  • Provide detailed furniture layout and coordination drawings

  • Manage logistics, delivery, and professional installation

  • Support technology integration requirements

  • Offer comprehensive warranty and service programs

  • Meet project timeline milestones in coordination with base building construction

  • Hold the inventory at no additional cost to Owner, until the Owner is ready for delivery of the furniture. 

 

EPCOR seeks a proponent who approaches this project as a partnership, bringing expertise in operations center environments while respecting budget parameters and design intent. The successful vendor will balance adherence to the basis-of-design with value engineering opportunities that maintain or enhance functionality.
