EPCOR is looking for a Design Consultant to assist in developing/validating requirements and providing a design for a new Integrated Operations Center (IOC) at EPCORs’ 2545 Aurum Road NE campus.  The IOC is intended to operate in a similar fashion to a Control Center and Emergency Management Center.  The space will primarily consist of specialized office spaces as well as training rooms, meeting rooms, IT data closets, lunch room(s) and washrooms.  The exact space requirements and occupancy capacity will be determined as part of the programing phase.  EPCOR is looking for a Design Consultant that has experience in developing similar spaces and can provide their experience and creativity in development of requirements to ensure that EPCOR is creating the space appropriately. The scope of the project is subject to change, but the Successful Proponent will be expected to fulfill EPCOR’s requirements as they relate to the services of a Design and Prime Consultant.

The Design Consultant is expected to be experienced in designing similar spaces (Operations Centers, Control Rooms, Emergency Response Centers) in order to respond this RFP.  They must also be skilled in designing spaces inside an existing Brownfield location, and supporting Operations while new construction/renovation is ongoing.  The full scope of services from requirements development through to construction are covered in Appendix 1 to this RFP.
